Post subject: first attempt to login
PostPosted: 9. Mar 2006, 21:39
I just installed TWG and on the first attempt to login to the admin section, I get a 'wrong username password' error. I changed permissions on cache, counter, and xml, and I made .config/.htusers.php writable (777). I still can't login with the default username and password.

Post subject: I have problems too

Finished the install and am also having problems,

I get a "Username or password wrong" when trying defaults:

login: admin
pword: twg_admin

I have the directory and the file /admin/.config/.htusers set with updated 777 permissions.

Any luck for the rest of you?

I'm afraid I have the same problem. It appears that the password may have been changed from the temporary one in the official release?

ups - sorry yes -

I have uploaded a version 2 days ago where the password was simply 'a'

I changed this in the new upload.
If the Administration in the gallery is red you have the default 'twg_admin' password - oterhwise my local password that is 'a'

Sorry ;)

/Michael

I just installed the TinyWebGallery 2.3 - 02.01.2015. I'm logging with admin and twg_admin then I'm required to change my password (User file is writeable - You can change passwords and manage the users). I changed to ddd_ddd but I get the window Welcome to the TWG Administration where is written with red Username or password wrong. Again I'm logging with admin and twg_admin and doing the same thing with same result. What's the problem ?

It's a php-zts version!

It seems that after changing the password the change succeeded but I have to restart my httpd 2.2.29 in order for the change to be valid.

I have never heard about this. The user file is written with php. So you might have a cache for files somewhere but in the software is nothing like this implemented for the login.

Best, Michael
