I'm having trouble getting the resize_on_element_resize parameter to work. I'm trying to use it to resize an iFrame that contains a CK Editor object. CK Editor allows the user to increase the size of the editor by dragging the resize handle in the lower-right corner. When I increase the editor size, I get scroll bars in my iFrame, even though I'm using resize_on_element_resize.

I've tried several different objects to monitor the resize event, including the main body tag, but nothing seems to work.

How is your setup? Does auto height work for the first request?

Best, Michael

Yes, auto height works and resize_on_click works.

But how is your setup? Same domain/different domain/external workaround? Shortcode?

Same domain. Here's the shortcode:

[advanced_iframe securitykey="REDACTED" use_shortcode_attributes_only="true" src="//www.emailwiz.com/rt/SelfService" width="100%" height="800" scrolling="none" id="advanced_iframe" enable_responsive_iframe="true" onload_resize="true" additional_height="150" resize_on_click="250" resize_on_element_resize="body" map_parameter_to_url="show|new|https://www.emailwiz.com/rt/SelfService/CreateTicketInQueue.html"]

why do you have resize_on_click="250" resize_on_element_resize="body". Normally only one of both is needed.

I removed the resize_on_click="250" and everything else still works fine, it still resizes on clicks, when I navigate to other pages, etc... However, resizing the CK Editor object still results in scroll bars. It seems there's something specific to this object that causes it to not trigger a change the body height. Can you test it on your end with CK Editor and see if happens to you? Or I can give you a login to my site.

Yes, it uses an Iframe for the editor text area.

This is maybe the reason. Is the size of the ck editor changing? because the content in there is a different page.

Well, I'm manually resizing the editor, and it's affecting the size of the body area, so I would think the script would pick up the size change. Is there any way you could login to my site and take a look at it?

Are you e.g. using firefox and simply make it bigger in the right bottom corner? So that the editor is above all other elements?

I'm not sure what you mean. The editor has a resize handle in the lower right corner. I'm dragging that handle to resize the editor box.

I'm not sure what changed, but it suddenly started working. Perhaps a browser caching issue. Sorry to trouble you with this.
