Hi.
I'm having a few basic problems.
I've installed the script eventually.
The first install said that it had worked ok, but would display errors at the bottom. The next day they weren't there.
The admin panel didnt work at first - 500 error. Next day it was fine.

So there's a little mix of editing pages, and using the admin panel.
I still kept getting 500 errors on image comments, slideshow, ratings etc, so I disabled everything thru admin until I had a basic shell that seemed to work, at #removed_broken_link

um, i don't know how to upload my pictures.
I tried the upload thru admin panel - flash upload doesn;t work, so i used the other upload. But all it does is let it upload to the pictures folder - not my gallery, and doesn't allow titles or anything.

I tried editing and copying the sample directories, but seem to have butchered them.

How are you supposed to upload pictures? I'm happy to be the only one - people can email me their pictures and i will optimise and upload them.

what have i broken?

seems you cannot open anything in the i_frames folder.
check if the rights if this folder are readable to world= 755 or something like that!

The folder rights are 755. Inside the folder, pages are 666.

My debug file is not empty. It contains:
12.02.2006 21:17:35 - ERROR 2 in ml/christmas/gallery/inc/counter.inc.php, line 160: fopen(gallery/counter/counter.txt): failed to open stream: No such file or directory

12.02.2006 21:17:35 - ERROR 2 in ml/christmas/gallery/inc/counter.inc.php, line 161: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource

The counter file does exist, with 666. Is that the right permissions?

So, still not sure what is happening.

maybe it's the wrong user if you have uploaded it with the gallery.

delete all files in the counter folder. they are all recreated.
About your i_frame folder - perm seems to be o.k. but maybe your hoster has some basedir restrictions about php scripts that they don't allow e.g. to include scripts from a higher directory (the config in this case).

is safemode enabled?
