sure - otherwise captions wouldn't make any sense - simply login on the right upper corner - then the Caption menu item is shown.
There are many ways to get captions done automatically (filenam, IPTC - manually)

Just can't seem to get the detailed txt files to fire up at all. Can't find the debug file to see if there are problems there

then you should wait for rc2 - I'm adding a support for muliline image.txt there .

with image.txt you can display a text for all images in a folder.

I'll add a new switch where this file is then uses as properties file.
You can then e.g make something like that:

image1.jpg=this is the text that should be shown left to the image ...
image2.jpg=this is the text for the 2nd image ...

other question
- do you get captions to work (login and enter text) ?
- do you get image.txt to work (same text for all images) ?

of course is caption per image basis - it's the text displayed below the images - check the demo - I use it everywhere !

Download the latest RC1 - I have added the support for image.txt with multiple entries.

But I think you are fine with captions anyway .

But check out the first demo folder - There you have a working example!.
