A fresh and complete upload of all code with the sole modification of turning self registration to true doesn't allow self registration to complete.

Reguardless of desired username entered, it always returns that the username is invalid, and needs to be alphanumeric.

Any combination of enabling, or disabling the capcha, or id_registration yield no different results either. Was working before in the RC's though.

use the final - in this build this was not working because of an error in a regular expression.

also, be it known that in your d12 version, under self registration, it has auto generate an email to your email address in it.

Might possibly want to take that out, lest it circulate, and you get bombarded by registration emails from other sites.

also in the 1.7 (not d12) that I'm trouble shooting, I'm attempting to make it so that all users can upload into a single folder, and only have upload privs.

Problem is with the TFU, they can erase subfolders, even when they only have upload privs! I can't chmod it away, because then I lose write access from the script.

htusers.php
Quote:

array("testttt","4728960471f6f8cf6130b05e3a27bf5a","pictures/","1",0,"^.ht",1,1),

Allows folder deletion for all sub folders under "pictures".

i'll check this - because with upload rights all folder functions should be disabled.

you are right - I use 08 to compare and this is interpreted as octal number - and then my comparison fails and the wrong rights are set.

i'll make an update for this!

I recieved the file in email, and successfully updated the coding, and it works properly, however I notice that I'm now encountering a 503 http error, which I believe is something about "data lost in transmission" when I try to upload files.

I'm going to keep modifying settings and seeing what I get, but do you have any ideas?

honestly, I'd never used the TFU before, this is the first time, in trying to demo it to make sure that everything works before I activate and integrate it with the rest of the site.

I could of sworn that I tested it once in the backend of the admin, and it worked, and then didn't think anymore of it. But I'm not really sure.

I stand corrected, I'm getting a 503 error on the original 1.6.2 version as well.
Must be a server side problem then.. huh.
