I just upgraded TWG 1.6 to 1.7.3.3 using the patch, it looks good. Thank you.

After the upgrade, I cannot login as "admin" from twg anymore. The login popup window accepted the password, but the menu doesn't show "Administration" link, and I didn't see "Caption" link when picture is displayed.
Did the patch overwrite login authentication file?

One thing should mention is: in v1.6, I used "Admin tool" to change admin password, but I saw my old passwords ($titelpassword and $privatepassword) in my_config.php are the same. Did I do s/t wrong when I used "Admin Tool" to change password but didnot update my_config.php to new password?

Also I cannot login my "private folder" because of wrong password, but I've never changed it!

Another thing: I have multi-level picture directories, after I displayed pictures of 3rd level, the upper left corner shows only

Home | Home | <3rd level dir.name>

in v.1.6, twg shows:

Home | <1st level> -> <2nd level> -> < 3rd level>

(Home url is in "root.txt")

......

Please consider this is a bug (?) or test report.

if you have made changes in config.php then they are overwritten!

Because you should have stored everything in my_config.php

About root.txt. Read the howto about root.txt again. The behaviour has changed! it was completly rewritten in 1.7.0.6! It works now recursive - therfore I think you simply have one root.txt too much ...

$titlepassword does not exist anymore! the whole user handling is now in the administration.
And no - the userfile is not overwritten. it's still admin/_config/.htuser.php

if you cannot login try to login with admin/index.php and check the right your user has! Maybe the user has not enough rights!

if you have an empty private.txt the password from the config is used. otherwiese the one in the file.

I tried to login from twg, and from admin/index.php, the login prompt is there, no "Administration" link displayed.
Then I copied a empty .htusers.php from twg1.7 download.
When I login from front end with "admin" and passwd "twg_admin", it accepted the password, but I still don't see "Administration" link.
After that, I access login screen from "admin/index.php" with passwd "twg_admin", it let me login and changed the admin passwd. Then when I tried to login again with new password, the login screen still shows login prompt, and at browser status bar show message:

"Invalid character.
url: tinygallery.com/gadmin/leaderboard_151.htm"

I tried with newly installed twg1.7.3.2, and I still can login as admin.

are there any messages in counter/_mydebug.out?

Seems like not all files are there.

like the error messages say:

your php session save path is not korrekt - check you system! without session no login!
