I'm having several problems while loading TWG pages. Sometimes only a few folders (or subfolders) shows and the rest of the page doesn't load at all.

Returning to the previous page and back to the page that has the problem sometimes fix it, and sometimes it requires a click on the bandwidth button.

The debug file is empty.

That happened after I returned from a locked folder (after unlocking it) to the main page.

does it only happen after you return from a unlocked folder?
I have been to the site without problems

Not exactly. Sometimes it happens with subfolders. But entering a protected folder is the easier way to reproduce it.

I'm sending you the password through a private message.

Please try entering the locked folder called "Clau" and than coming back to the main page. I did that sometimes and most times only the first nine folder appeared, the folder called "Eventos e Viagens" (the one with the most subfolders and pictures) and the following doesn't load.

I didn't see anything wrong in the server log file.

This is happening since I moved to a webhosting service and load all the pictures. I believe the script is timing out (30 seconds), that wouldn't happen in my home webserver because I had set its timeout to a higher value (5 minutes or so).

Notice that when this problem happens, reloading the page won't solve it, so I believe the problem occurs when the cache is being constructed.

the problem is that you could turn off some of the caching but then the "new" would not work too because for this all files have to be checked.

check if
$precache_xml=false (this is the default)

and for testing set $show_changes=0;
check if you still have the problem. I want to find out where the bottleneck on your system is.

And set $precache_background=false;

Maybe the parallel caching is a problem on your system. You maybe try to access the cache when it is building...
Especially when you log into a protected folder some caches are changed ...

Hi Michael,

I found out that when these options are disabled the problem doesn't happen:

$autocreate_folder_image = true;
$autocreate_folder_image_recursive = true;

I know the folder_image is supposed to be created only once a day, but it looks like it's being created on every session.

Another problem that doesn't seems to be related with the first: the pictures inside "Amigos\Angélica" are not showing although there are traces of them in the source code and even the pagination buttons show up.

Thanks - i'll check this.

After a login this cache is maybe refreshed too and this is quite some work to determine the new folder image. Or it simply crashes when this has to be done. Is it enough if you disable the recusive option?

About the images - I would avoid album names e.g. with an é - (use a foldername.txt to set the display value) I do the encoding but I have seen that some servers do not handle the encoding right and therefore the images are not shown.

i was at the folder - how should it look like? - it is strange that the pager is shown but only one subfolder is there...

I haven't done many tests, but it seems that disabling the recursive option is enough, maybe because most of the main folders have only subfolders inside.

About the folder, I believe the server is handling it fine, because other folders with special characters are working fine. Also, in my home server the same problem happens.

Besides the subfolder you saw, this folder has 68 pictures, that are not showing. I even changed some weird picture names, deleted the corresponding XML files, but the problem persists.

I check the recursive thing - There has to be any kind of loop I have maybe missed...

the reading of the directory works because the paging works too.

Something causes the loop that displays the thumbnails to exit earlier - I have to check tonight what could cause the problem...
nothing in the log or the server log?
