It's a shared server with 4GB, I've raised the limit in php.ini to 128MB, which is enough for all the images.

I am trying Image Magick again, no problems yet, except for some bigger images (about 3600x2400) that it gives an error ( http://fotos.skooterweb.com/index.php?t ... fset=0,0,0 ) that didn't happen with GDlib.

I can raise the timeout since I have access to php.ini, but I'm afraid I can get kicked out because they have a rule that no user can have 25% cpu usage or more for 90 seconds.

Then I would only set it to 90 sec.

Generation of images are only done once if you don't delete the cache folder. there is a caching time that is set to 42. Set it to -1 then the cache is not automatically cleaned up.

Apparently that server error that used to happen when I was using Image Magick doesn't happen anymore.

seems your jpeg images cannot be converted by gdlib.

You have to open them on your pc and save them again.
