I had been trying TWG 1.7.4, but it quit working, so I installed 1.7.5 on another site. Looking at the admin page, though, I see that it still says v 1.7.4.

Anyway, I set up a directory on my home server and added a few images. Then, I created a similar directory in TWG on my hosted server and put a u-r-l-dot-t-x-t file there pointing to the home server pix.

Then, I clicked on "Create Cache" to create the cache images. The thumbs were created, but the small images weren't and do not get created until someone clicks on the image, but, as you know, this is way too slow. How can I get the "Create Cache" feature to work for the small images, too?

There was one other thing that wasn't working, but I don't recall now. I'll post it when next I encounter it.

Great script! Thanks.

strange. because the small and the thumbs are created the same way - only a different size.

The cache only get generated once - therefore only the person the watches the small image first has to wait once.

Do you get any messages in the log file?
If you have created the cache and refresh the page: does it try to create the cache again or does it say that the cache is created.

Tried it on 1.7.4, too, with same results--thumbs generated, no small images.

There are no messages in the log file.

If I generate the cache and then refresh the page, the cache which was just generated is deleted, and it says that x images need to be generated.

The cache is deleted? This is very strange because this is only done if you trigger this explicitly in the backend or the files are older then the cache setting.

There are 4 images in the remote directory:

gordon3_Taps-1965-011.jpg
gordon3_Taps-1965-020.jpg
gordon3_Taps-1965-021.jpg
gordon3_Taps-1965-080.jpg

If you go to TWGXplorer and look in the cache folder, you will see that there are only thumbs for these photos and no small pix.

Here's a screenshot via SmartFTP:

I checked the code and you were right - for external images where the size could not be determined the cache was not build. I have change the code that the cache is build now.
But the resize_only_if_too_big parameter is ignored then. The images are always resized. For most users this does not matter at all ;).

Redownload the 1.7.5 version from the forum and update the inc folder.
