Hi,

I have 4 main folders with several subdirectories in each. Each subdirectory contains an album of photos.
I would like for the collage to work for the main folders and retrieve random images for the subdirectories. Is this possible?

The gallery is set up on my site using an IFrame. Is it possible to have a link on a different page to a particular album using the Iframe?

Thank you

You cannot get the collage but you can get the most viewed image from the subfolders:
set:
$autocreate_folder_image = true;
$autocreate_folder_image_recursive=true;

The image is only created once a day but normally this should be enough ;).

you can directly link to a sub folder by adding the twg_album parameter to the src of the iframe.

Hi Michael,

Thank you, I have $autocreate_folder_image set up and its working. It's just a pity not to be able to use the collage. Perhaps this is a feature you could add in the future.

Is there a way to pass the twg_album parameter in a url to the source of the iframe? E.G

www.mysite.com/gallery.php?twg_album=MyAlbum which will bring up "MyAlbum"

Building a collage would be even harder ;). Because this image would have to be generated from 4 sources ;).

Linking directly into an album is like you wrote:

http://www.tinywebgallery.com/demo/inde ... nistration

adding &twg_show=x will open the first image.

I understand how to link directly to an album in twg but how do you do it through an Iframe. Can you give me an Iframe example?

The page gallery.php have an Iframe on it:

<iframe name="twg" frameborder="0" src="gallery/index.php?noborder=true&scrolling=no" width="830" height="100%"></iframe>

Is it possible to pass a parameter in the url E.G. gallery.php?twg_album=XX which would pass through the Iframe and pull up the album XX?

you would have to read the parameter in gallery.php and add it to the iframe.

$autocreate_folder_image_recursive is not working. I have set it to true in config.php. $autocreate_folder_image works fine. Is there any other configuration that affects this?

The gallery can be found at #removed_broken_link

it does work. But it's only done once every cache refresh cycle. (it 4 hours up to one day depending whhat you have set)

I have refreshed the temp cache files by calling:

http://www.endasheehan.com/gallery/inde ... width=true

now the images where generated.

Is it possible to do a $random_image_recursive for a gallery? So it would pick a random image from all subdirectories?

no - the most viewed is used. This is because this calculation is already done and therefore quit fast.

Also the images work in the gallery but don't seem to work in the iframe on the link I sent you above. Any suggestions?

OK I'm a bit confused?

When I go to the link:
http://www.endasheehan.com/gallery/inde ... width=true Everything works fine.
But when I view the gallery in the Iframe on the page: #removed_broken_link the folder image is shown.
$autocreate_folder_image_recursive does not seem to be working through the Iframe. Any ideas?

Also, what is the best time interval to set for the renewal of Topx cache, 1 or 24, if I would like the folder images to change regularly? Can you explain to me how exactly this works?
