Hi

I've just installed the uploader and got a standard license, everything appears to work OK but the uploads fail.

The administrator/component folder is set to 755 and I made folder named 'upload' in the root set to 777, as that seemed to be what the config file suggested (could be my mistake here causing the problem). But the upload gets right to the end and then appears to fail when moving the file resulting in 'upload failed' to appear in the Flash front end. The log file reads:

' Illigal direct access or missing session settings - browser has to be closed to get a new session: PHPSESSID=xxxxxxxx '

This happens to all sizes of file. I am only using it for MP3 archives of shows on an internet radio staion/community site, no resize settings are enabled.

'Illigal' is a typo btw - it should be Illegal :)

Please help me out, its probably something small, but needed asap.

Thanks guys for a great uploader. Can't wait to use it!

Yes, I did that before I posted - changed from MySQL to none.

It looks to be a problem moving from the temp folder to the upload folder.

I changed the upload folder to 'upload', nice and short, still no joy (I had the fodler buried deeply before). Also I added audio/mp3 to mime types in joomla and mp3 to legal extensions...no joy.

What temp folder does the component use? I think it may be wrong permissions on that. But only think, not know!

Thanks in advance.

It uses the default php temp folder.

But you are not getting that far. I check before the file is moved if all required session settings are set. And this is not the case in your case.

you can try to create a directory session_cache in the tfu folder of the component. Then JFU uses an internal session handling.

DOH!!!!

Sorry guys, my bad completely, knew it would be.

php.ini was set to 2MB!!!! Luckily I have access to it on this host, so happy days.

Your component is ROCK SOLID, unlike my feeble brain haahaha.

Thanks for your help anyway!

I think I should not allow the users to set a higher value in the config than possible ;).
